Resources

We’re excited to help you build a sustainable civic tech group in your community. Here, you’ll find resources and workshops helpful for organizing and running your Brigade.

Organizer’s Playbook

The Playbook gives practical advice and real examples on starting and running a sustainable Brigade.

It includes: guidance on hosting hack nights, building a core team, and practicing user-centered design.

This resource is being updated and will be released soon.

Code of Conduct

We believe that anyone attending a Code for America event or participating in our online community should feel safe and be free from harassment.

As such, we expect all attendees to adhere to the Code of Conduct at every Code for America or Code for America Brigade event.

Financial Administration

One way that Code for America supports the Brigade Network is by handling financial administration for Brigades. This support allows Brigades to fundraise and spend money for their Brigades, without having to worry about financial administration.
